FilmJerk.com is an entertainment news journal focusing on breaking news, script reviews, advance film reviews and interviews. Originally established in 2000 by Edward Havens, FilmJerk has become one of the most respected entertainment news sites on the internet.
Some of our more popular features include: "The Early Report," which looks at the upcoming four weeks of movie releases, including theater-specific information; "inScriptions Screenplay Reviews," which reviews the scripts of upcoming films, and "The Casting Couch," which breaks casting and plot information of popular television shows. We also post breaking news for film and television, and review both mediums as well.
FilmJerk has been featured in The New York Times, TVGuide.com, Entertainment Weekly, The New York Daily News, The Times of London, Newsday and The New York Post, among others. This doesn't include the many sites that also use us as a source on a regular basis.
Now boasting a few regular writers, (and looking to expand) the editors and writers of this not-for-profit site (ie. this is not our day jobs) are posed for greater things.
This version of FilmJerk.com was designed and programmed entirely by Cassy Havens using Dreamweaver 8, Adobe Photoshop CS2, and lots of rum.
