FAQ

When did the site open?

FilmJerk.com was started on January 1, 2000.

What is a Film Jerk?

Despite the initial connotations, FilmJerk is not an instant description of our publisher's personality. The name is a play on the term "soda jerk", one who worked at a fountain shop in the 1950s and 1960s. It's just coincidental that our publisher can regularly be a real bastard.

How come the site isn't as updated as often as other news sites?

We strive to bring you exclusive stories no other news organization can bring you. Therefore, we run fewer stories.

Can I get a copy of (script name) that you reviewed?

No. Don't even ask.

Can I write for the site?

Do you have a good story that no one else has? A review of a new movie that you haven't read about elsewhere? We are always on the lookout for new writers who can bring continual exciting news stories to the world.

Can you get me a part in one of the movies you report on?

No. FilmJerk.com is an independent news orgainzation. We are not a casting agency, nor are we connected to the films and television shows we write about.

I'm a Big-Time Hollywood Producer, and your story about my movie is a bunch of bull. I demand it be pulled now.

Chances are, if we have the information, you or someone on your staff approved it.

How come you don't have email addresses for the staff on the site?

Putting emails on a webpage is an invitation for spam, no matter how much you try and secure it. If you would like to contact one of our staff members, feel free to use our feedback form.
